Heather Daykin

Heather is currently training as a Music Therapist at the University of South Wales and is due to qualify in July 2026. Her training has been supported by trusts, charities, and corporate organisations from the Isle of Man, reflecting a shared commitment to developing music therapy provision on the island. On qualification, she will be the first and only practicing Music Therapist on the Isle of Man, with a focus on establishing and expanding access to music therapy for people of all ages across the community.
Alongside her training, Heather works as a music teacher and has extensive experience working across a wide range of settings. She was part of the team at Mini Musicians by Mannin Music, delivering classes and community sessions, and contributed to the award-winning outreach project MusicShare, bringing singing-based musical experiences to thousands of participants across the Midlands each year.
Heather studied Music at the University of Bristol before undertaking postgraduate training as a flautist at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where she also worked with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. As a soloist, she has performed in concert series across the UK and internationally, and has appeared on BBC Radio. She is also an experienced conductor and musical director, working with choirs, orchestras, and musical theatre productions.
